Paediatric Ambulatory Care Manager

Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who can work within a small friendly team. Someone who is extremely passionate about ambulatory care, with the forward vision and leadership skills to develop the Paediatric Ambulatory services here at UHCW and Rugby St Cross, ensuring all our patients and their families have a positive experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated and passionate about leading and delivering a quality service to meet the changing needs of our local population.

The role will involve leading our dedicated Paediatric Medical Day Unit, Surgical day Unit and Outpatient areas.

The Paediatric Medical Day Unit is based at UHCW and provides care for babies, children and young people who attend for blood transfusions, chemotherapy, medical reviews, phlebotomy, rheumatology and endocrinology investigations and treatments.

 

Main duties of the job

Our Surgical Day Unit is also based at UHCW and provides care for day case surgical patients. We also run a successful MRI under General Anaesthetic service within the surgical day unit.

Within our outpatient services we facilitate many consultant nurse, and therapy led clinics at our dedicated children's outpatient department's across both our UHCW & Rugby St Cross Hospital Sites.

The Ambulatory Care Manager will work collaboratively with the Children's Ward Managers, to ensure visible leadership, drive improvement and provide assurance to clinical and management teams within the Women and Children's group.
