ST1-3 in Neonatal Paediatrics

NHS Medical & Dental: Junior Clinical Fellow

Trosolwg o'r swydd

Homerton Healthcare Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is looking to appoint Clinical Fellows in Neonatal Paediatrics at ST1-3 level. Posts are available immediately, initially for a 6-month period with the option of further extension for the right candidate(s).

We offer excellent opportunities for trainees to acquire clinical skills, as well as skills in areas such as leadership, management, and education.

Homerton Healthcare is 1 of 3 designated perinatal centres for the North Central and North East London Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (NCNEL-ODN). Two others are The Royal London Hospital and University College Hospital, London.

The Neonatal Unit forms part of Surgical, Women's and Neonatal Services Directorate and its long-standing designation as a Level 3 NICU service was endorsed by the Thames Regional Perinatal Group (TRPG) appraisal of the Perinatal Network and is one of the busiest Level 3 units in London. The Homerton obstetric unit has a particularly high throughput of extremely preterm births, and the Neonatal Unit admits approximately 150 neonates per annum who are <30 weeks gestational age. A number of local problems, e.g. socio-economic deprivation, high prevalence of drug abuse and HIV carriage impact upon the workload.
