Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

We currently have a vacancy for Band 5 Community Nurse within the East Area Evening Nursing Service. The Evening Nursing Service work across Wrexham and Flintshire counties and are based in Wrexham. The shift commences at 6.00 pm – 11.00 pm although there will be a need to be flexible to support the Overnight Service as required.
Informal visits are welcome. Community experience is desirable.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The team respond to both planned and unplanned nursing needs i.e. palliative care, catheter care, supportive nursing visits to monitor patient stability and give support to both formal and informal carers. The aim of the service is to provide high quality nursing care during out of hour's periods and reduce the need for unnecessary hospital admissions.

- NMC Registered Nurse
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post registration study and training eg POVA, Child protection, intermediate life support
Experience

- Pre registration evidence in direct nursing care
- Experience of providing holistic nursing care
- Interest in developing nursing skills
Desirable criteria
- Clear Understanding of clinical governance framework
- Implement evidence based practice
Skills & Competencies

- Ability to document details clearly and accurately
