The Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor within General Adult Psychiatry across the West Midlands.

Main duties of the job

We are completely committed to improving mental health. We want to manage the NHS National Service Framework for Mental Health and we are focused on quality hospital/community based services. This is why we have established a framework where you can realise your full potential and that of the patients.

 We wish to recruit a Specialty Doctor within General Adult Psychiatry. The post-holder will provide services within Dudley. You will work with the friendliest, most supportive multi-disciplinary teams you could wish for comprising of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Community Psychiatric Nurses and Support Workers in the acute inpatients and community settings.

This ambitious model is multi-agency and multi-disciplinary, opening the door for you to work in a collaborative and flexible way with partners, service users, carers and their families

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will play a major role in shaping the growth of the services and will work closely with other professionals. On a day-to-day you will assess and handle a wide range of psychiatric disorders, as you develop and offer specialist therapeutic skills and services. What’s more, you will gain experience of specialists within the services, with ample training and development.

You will have full GMC registration and ideally be Section 12 approved.
