We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated doctors to deliver the very best level of patient care in our Acute Medicine team. As a Senior Clinical Fellow (SCF) you will play a key role in assessing and treating patients, delivering a core part of the UHCW unplanned and emergency care service.
The SCF team provides essential middle grade (Tier 2 / Specialist Registrar level) within the Acute Medicine department. The core of this work is to deliver patient care in the Acute Medicine Footprint, including Same Day Emergency Care service, as part of a rota including day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic doctor with considerable experience in acute medicine, for an initial 12 month fixed term appointment. Applicants should have extensive previous experience in Medicine to the equivalent of IMT3. Applicants should also possess MRCP and ALS. Full registration with the General Medical Council is required at time of application.
The Acute Medicine department works closely with other services within a widely known tertiary referral and major trauma center. We are affiliated to Warwick Medical School which is one of the top 10 universities in England.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to join the team at an exciting time, within a growing department. The post will be based in the Acute Medicine facility consisting of 64 beds incorporating an Acute Medical Unit, two short-stay wards, a Medical Decisions Unit and an Ambulatory Emergency Clinic. The unit has 14 full and part-time Consultants. The post holder will be encouraged to participate in educational and quality development activities (including audit) and will have opportunities to undertake research projects. The post holder will be expected and supported to continue their development towards further roles and responsibilities, and through the CESR process.
