Job overview

Are you a person who is passionate about providing excellent customer service to patients, carers and relatives?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Receptionist to work in our antenatal and gynaecology outpatients at Crawley hospital predominantly. You will be working with colleagues and other health care personnel within the team to ensure smooth running of clinics and the delivery of all appropriate forms of patient care according to outpatient clinic standard and Trust policies, procedures and guidelines. You will be need to liaise with medical staff, clinicians, health records staff and other departments as appropriate, in order to provide an excellent standard of care and customer service.

We are looking for you to apply if you are a motivated receptionist, with knowledge and experience in an acute care setting. You will have excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills with the ability to organise, manage and plan your workload effectively. You will need to be dedicated and passionate in your role working with patients, carers and relatives.

You will need to be energetic and dedicated in working in a busy outpatient department. As the post holder, you will be responsible for designated clinics, including the preparation and storage of medical notes, the reception and discharge of patients from the Trust’s electronic patient records without supervision or direction.

Main duties of the job

Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be based on site and will be required to work the regular 5 days working patterns.
