An exciting opportunity has arisen at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to work within the Digital Transformation Directorate. The Trust has embarked on a significant journey to digitise ways of working that will fundamentally improve patient care and strive towards the Trust's true north objective 'to be the safest Trust in England, outstanding in all we do.' The IT Programme and Development team won the DBTH Star Award 2018 for the development of a Clinical Portal, and the Directorate continues to receive nominations and commendations from all levels across the organisation, including the Trust Board of Directors. Main duties of the job

As a key member of a team of skilled staff providing comprehensive services across the organisation, your work will primarily focus on Infrastructure Support as well as planning and implementing upgrades to Windows Servers and associated software. To support this, it is expected that you will have extensive working knowledge of the following systems:

• Windows Server 2012-2022

• VMware vSphere / vCenter

• Active Directory Administration

• Microsoft DNS / DHCP Services

• Scripting Languages (e.g., PowerShell; Batch files)

• Data Backup and Recovery tools (e.g., Veeam; Enterprise Vault)

• Microsoft SQL Server 2012-2019 Desirable

It is essential that you are flexible, enthusiastic, and can display high levels of initiative, together with the ability to work under reasonable pressure to deliver your duties individually and as part of a team, with minimum supervision. You must also have excellent communication skills and be able to interact and deal with service users and colleagues in a pleasant and efficient manner.
