Main duties of the job

Are you a qualified, or soon to be qualified, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) looking for a service that is committed to your ongoing professional development?

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Postgraduate or Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment (IAPT pathway), relating to Adults with common mental health problems.
  • PWP Registration (or evidence of application submission) with the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Desirable criteria
  • To have attended the IAPT LTC training

Contractual Requirements

Essential criteria
  • Ability and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation
  • To work flexibly within service hours which includes work up until 8.00pm at least once per week.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of the full range of evidence based psychological interventions at Step 2
  • An understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working effectively in a team
  • Evidence of working with adults aged 16 years and over who have experienced a mental health problems
Desirable criteria
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time

Skills and personal qualities

Essential criteria
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills
  • Ability to be self-reflective, whilst working with service users, in own personal and professional development and in supervision
  • Computer literate
