This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health professional to join a team of research nurses and health professionals who provide a clinical studies service for the Clinical Research Facility. As part of our expansion we are seeking to recruit a Band 6 Health Professional with an interest in musculoskeletal conditions. The candidate will work with the Rheumatology, Orthopaedics and Health Care for the Elderly/Rehabilitation teams, Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre and be based at the City Hospital Campus.
The appointee’s main responsibilities will include identifying, screening and recruiting patients to clinical trials, data collection and other processes, and participant assessment. An important aspect of the role is the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records of data derived from the research studies. Experience with computing is required. A flexible approach to working hours is essential since it may be necessary to contact the patients after they have returned home from work.
The post-holder will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research subjects and, where relevant to their families, in partnership with all members of the multi-professional and research teams. The exact dimensions of the numbers and types of studies may vary in accordance with the dynamic nature of the research programme; it is likely that the post holder will be required to manage several concurrent research studies. The appointee may also be required to process biological samples and to co-ordinate visits with medical staff.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
