Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen  in the Audiology Department based at Ropewalk House, in the centre of Nottingham, for a full time permanent position supporting our busy Audiology outpatients service.

We are looking for a well-motivated and pro-active individual who is able to adapt quickly to new roles/tasks and works well within a team.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Audiology administration team in conjunction with the Audiology clinical team.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work alongside another outpatient co-ordinator, closely with the admin team, service manager and clinicians to ensure the quality of the service throughout a transitionary period.  

The post is  an outpatient co-ordinator role with a focus on supporting the clinical rota and the day to day line management support of the admin and clerical team.  The post-holder will also be responsible for overseeing the booking of appointments and procedures, ensuring referrals are dealt with efficiently and that targets are met.  The post-holder will oversee clinic cancellations and ensure necessary reductions are made in response to clinical staff absences.

You should be competent in the use of computer systems, including ERS, Microsoft packages, Medway PAS and NOTIS and will have previous experience of working with rotas.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • A-C grade GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
  • Evidence of a commitment to continued learning

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Microsoft Office, Medway PAS and ERS
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Proven experience of working in an admin/clerical environment
  • Experience of adding rotas
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of supervising a team

Communication

Essential criteria
  • Clearly and accurately convey information to different audiences
  • Ability to deal with conflict in a diplomatic manner
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
