Job overview

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a part time (34.5 hours) Ward Clerk at Rochdale Infirmary which is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

You will provide administrative support to function within the multi disciplinary team on  the Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) to ensure a smooth patient journey and safe patient experience. 

Main duties of the job

You will provide a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to the unit staff and be responsible for the safe keeping and availability of all clinical records.

You will provide general support to the unit staff to ensure the smooth and safe running of the unit. You will need good communication and IT skills and to be able to work under pressure.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines, prioritising and organising your workload where appropriate

  • Previous experience of working in a health care setting

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge and experience of PC based applications (ie Microsoft Office).
  • Achievement of National Care Certificate (or willingness to complete).
