We are looking to recruit one Band 7 Deputy Manager for our EAST Core Community Team. If you’re a registered mental health professional with experience of working in a Community Mental Health Team and are keen to develop your career, we’d be interested in speaking to you.

This role is key to the development of our Community Services, and offer the post-holder the opportunity to shape the implementation of the NHS Long-Term Plan into Haringey Community Services.

You’ll be supported to develop your management and leadership skills to allow you to be a role model in our Community Services.

The successful individual will be joining a values driven team that works hard to ensure on-going learning and continuous improvement and will have the opportunity to further develop their skills and knowledge .

 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To support the East Core  Team Manager with the operational management of the team.  
  • The post holder will assist in the effective delivery of the team’s core functions, including clinical supervision of mental health practitioners, lead on the development of treatment protocols and audit overall team performance of key indicators.
  • Provide professional leadership within the team, supporting staff in implementing evidence-based psycho-social interventions and care coordination within a socially inclusive and recovery orientated philosophy.
  • Supervise, support and appraise care coordinators, Associate Mental Health Workers, junior staff in other roles, students on placement and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in their work with care- coordinated patients
  • To contribute to, and where requested hold delegated responsibility, for, maintaining and developing the operational management structure in the team, compliant with Trust policies and key performance indicators.

In Enfield, we provide a full range of child and adult community health services, which over the last few years has been integrating with its mental health services to provide better and more holistic care.

BEH manages the renowned North London Forensic Services (NLFS) which is the lead provider of forensic mental health services; that managed the devolved New Models of care budget, it delivers MH care across some of the prisons, and provides MH services as HM Young Offenders Institutions in Aylesbury. We are rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC.  We also provide one of the largest eating disorder services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services.

Qualifications

  • FOR NURSES RMN registration OR SOCIAL WORKER Registration with the General Social Care Council (to 1 August 2012) OR FOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS Registration with the HPC, Diploma in occupational therapy or BSc. in occupational therapy.

  • Management and Leadership experience.

Professional Experience

  • Significant clinical experience in community based services.
  • Demonstrable experience at Band 6 or equivalent.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983/ amended 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Codes of Practice for both. Children's Act 1989. Care Act 2014.
  • Training and advanced skills in a specialised approach such as psycho-social interventions, dual diagnosis, personality disorder.
