Careers at #LNWH

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) cares for the people of Brent, Ealing, Harrow and beyond.

Our team of more than 8,200 clinical and support staff serve a diverse population of almost one million people.

We run major acute services at:

  • Northwick Park Hospital: home to one of the busiest emergency departments (A&E) in the country. The hospital provides a full range of services including the country’s top-rated hyper-acute stroke unit and one of only three hyper-acute rehabilitation units in the UK
  • St Mark’s Hospital: an internationally renowned specialist centre for bowel disease
  • Ealing Hospital: a busy district general hospital providing a range of clinical services, as well as 24/7 emergency department and urgent care centre, and specialist care at Meadow House Hospice
  • Central Middlesex Hospital: our planned care site, hosting a range of surgical and outpatient services and collocated with an urgent care centre.

We are a university teaching NHS trust, in recognition of the important role we play in training clinicians of the future and bringing the benefits of research to the public.

Job overview

Due to the expansion of our service an exciting opportunity has arisen for a  highly motivated, proactive, dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced registered nurse to join our Gynaecology Outpatients team. You must be a registered nurse with full NMC membership and a minimum of 6 months post registration experience within Women’s Health in the NHS. The job is initially based at Northwick Park Hospital but involves cross site working and a flexible approach is essential.

The post is full time working 37.5 hours per week in a combination of shift patterns to cover demand. Although the service currently operates Monday-Friday during the core hours of 9-5, this will expand to include evenings and weekends and therefore a flexible attitude is expected.

Main duties of the job

This successful post holder will work closely with the medical teams, matron, existing specialist nurses and other MDT members providing specialist Gynaecology care to a caseload of complex patients in Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Rapid Access, Early Pregnancy and General Gynaecology clinics.  Appropriate teaching, training, supervision and on-going support will be provided to enable you to improve our patient’s experience throughout their pathway.
