Service Delivery Manager - Band 7 

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for ensuring operational excellence in healthcare? Join the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWUH) dedicated to the Cardiology Department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the seamless delivery of healthcare services, leading cross-functional teams within Cardiology Department, and strategically planning initiatives to meet the trust's healthcare goals.

This post requires the post holder to be on-site .

·         Implementation of service specific development and transformation

·         Delivery of NHSE KPIs and  targets

·         Delivery of quality and activity targets

·         Management of financial expenditure

·         Assist in development of strategy

·         Foster a culture of clinical integration within the division

·         Support for the day to day operational management of the service

·         Management of a full and flexible administrative support to the service

·         Management of efficient robust data capture systems

·         Active contribution to the delivery of “patient centred” services

The post-holder will be expected to deputise for the General Manager when required.

Swydd ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

·         Responsible for the achievement of performance targets as outlined in the Trust’s performance assessment framework.

·         Responsible for the delivery of all local and national performance targets relevant to the service, working in close conjunction with the clinical teams and all other relevant staff.

·         Assist the General Manager and clinical team, in developing, delivering, implementing and evaluating business plans, ensuring the business planning process contributes to the Trust strategy. This will include presenting to Divisional Team and Trust Executive Board as required.

·         Work with clinical rota masters, HR and Divisional workforce and rostering team to ensure rosters are compliant and support service needs.

·         Ensure clinicians leave requests are dealt with in timely manner in line with Trust Policies.

·         Maintain good working relations with clinical, nursing and allied health professional teams and provide direct support to the teams

·         To monitor elective and non-elective key performance indicators (RTT, DM01, length of stay, same day discharge, ERF planned activity, first to follow ratios etc) and to share these with clinicians to maximise service efficiency.

·         Monitor and action Business Intelligence reports, relevant to the role (including but not limited to procedure coding, clinic outcomes recording, discharge summaries)

·         Interpret findings from data reports that have been designed to support emergency care pathways and report these back in a clear, concise, and understandable way.

·         Respond to internal and external ad hoc requests for information analysis and manipulating and presenting data to meet requirements, ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

·         Design dashboards and reports to meet the needs of the divisions.

·         To manage Assistant Service Managers and support them in delivering in their roles.

·         To proactively identify changes and improvements in services and act upon these in all areas of work in the service area.

·         Take an active role in the service directorate meetings, Clinical Governance and other service working groups in the development of policies and service developments, leading on specified areas.

·         Undertake complaint investigations, draft management responses or interventions as necessary and managed PALs and DATIX as required.

·         Ensure that Trust policies are followed and adhered to.

·         Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.

·         Manage personal workload to meet both corporate and personal deadlines.

·         Prioritise workload in a way that enables the delivery of both important and urgent tasks.
