Job overview
Clinical and Care Professional Leads support south east London-wide and borough programmes of work, therefore, there is an expectation that you currently work within south east London, and for borough based roles, within that borough.
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Lead is to provide clinical input and support to the One Bromley Local Care Partnership to improve the quality and delivery of Cancer Care in Bromley, promote early diagnosis and reduce inequalities in access and outcomes.
The Clinical Lead will act as Clinical Champion and support the members of the LCP in developing clinically effective and efficient pathways that provide high quality care to patients in the most appropriate setting to meet their clinical lead.
Main duties of the job
• Provide strategic leadership and representation to inform and influence the delivery of care and early diagnosis for cancer patients
• To influence stakeholders in driving up standards of care in relation to cancer services
• Leading Bromley service design projects in partnership with the One Bromley ICB team and key partners
• Facilitate the development and support the implementation of pathways that support early detection of cancer and appropriate e referrals via the 2 week referral
• Input into pathway redesign in line with national and local strategy and National Guidance, working closely with providers and SEL teams such as the SEL Cancer Alliance
• Develop and deliver education to the primary, community and secondary care community

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Qualified care and/or clinical professional i.e. NMC, HCPC, social work register, GMC etc. Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
Desirable criteria
- Certificate / qualification in programme management, service improvement or transformation
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of transformational/innovative service delivery, productivity and/or transformation policy implementation.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of being part of peer networks and collaborative working
- Cross organisational and/or professional boundary collaboration experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- An in-depth understanding of health and care provision and awareness of current ICS/system policies and priorities
- Champions the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion both within and outside of the organisation. Provide effective, inclusive and compassionate leadership ensuring all voices are heard and creating and nurturing a culture where staff feel safe to speak up.
Desirable criteria
- Good knowledge or cross professional transformation, digital solutions and innovative redesign.
