Our Trust is situated in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire and is one of the biggest acute hospital trusts in England, serving a population of more than 700,000 people.   • Flexible working: Depending on the needs of your role, we will consider requests for flexible and/or part-time working for whatever reason you should need it. We recognise flexible working will not look the same for everyone, because it depends on the nature of the role and the needs of the individual.

Types of flexibility could include:

  • Part-time - less than 37.5 hours per week.
  • Off-site/remote working - working from home or other sites for part or all the week.
  • Compressed hours – usually full-time hours but over fewer days or shifts.
  • Staggered hours – having different start and finish times.
  • Set shift patterns – to allow for predictability
  • NHS Pension: A generous and flexible pension scheme with contributions from us as your employer fully protected against inflation and guaranteed by the government
  • Annual Leave: Starting at 27 days a year, rising to 33 days after 10 years plus eight bank holidays (for staff covered by Agenda for Change) For Medical Workforce positions (Consultant and Specialty Doctor), the full-time entitlement commences from 32 days per annum. For all other Medical Workforce positions, the full-time entitlement commences from 27 days per annum.
  • Bank working: The chance to work extra hours at enhanced rates and we will pay you weekly too, ideal if your income needs a quick boost.

Ward 6B is  an elderly care ward with 28 beds. We have an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills and utilise skills you already possess. The role will include the assessment, planning implementation and discharge of these patients. We aim to offer a gold standard service in which we will offer patients whom utilize our service the access to rapid diagnostics, a clear plan of care, to be then discharged. The team work closely with Allied Health Professionals and take a multi-disciplinary approach to care provision.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate and champion the Trusts behaviours and key values having knowledge to support the Dignity in Care Agenda.

A person who can work on own initiative and as part of a team to provide an environment that focuses on the patient and their experience maintaining confidentiality at all times.

You will be working closely with the nursing team and assist with referrals to social services, district nurses amongst others to provide an effective and timely discharge. Experience in using Medway and Trust paperwork is desirable, as you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective admissions and discharges of our patients.

Ward 6b requires a structured process to care delivery, therefore requires a calm individual whom can cope under pressure. This opportunity is especially exciting for someone who can provide clerical and administration support to the ward team and customer care to patients and visitors being at times the first port of call. An individual with excellent communication skills is essential. This role therefore requires a highly motivated individual who can use initiative, manage their time and work well in the team.
