- Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
- Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.

Specialty Doctor – General Adult Psychiatry, Royal Preston Hospital (10PA)
We are seeking to recruit a substantive Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to work in the Acute Care Pathway in Central Lancashire. This post is funded to support the continuing development of our response to acute Mental Health presentations in Central Lancashire. The post has become available due to the previous post holder leaving.
Main duties of the job
The post is full time (10PA) and will be based at Royal Preston Hospital. You will be working with teams involved in the assessment and provision of care for patients presenting acutely to Mental Health Services as part of the ongoing development of our Acute Care Pathway.
There will be some flexibility to the work based on clinical need though it will include undertaking s136 assessments with Approved Mental Health Professionals, working with the Consultant, Team Leader and Clinical Practitioners from the Preston and Chorley Section 136 teams
There may be the opportunity to join the On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is available.
Working for our organisation
To be eligible to apply for this post, you must possess at least 3 year’s experience in psychiatry and be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. Ideally, you will be Section 12 Approved, or eligible for approval at the time of commencing employment.
