This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the integrated CAMHS/CPS. As part of the team you will take a leadership role in the delivery of high quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of children and young people.

Working within a systemic and holistic framework, you will undertake needs led, evidence based, highly skilled assessments and therapeutic interventions to children and young people, their families and carers, who present to the service. These assessments will also include young people needing support due to deliberate self-harm.

We are looking for a registered nurse, qualified social worker, occupational therapist or equivalent with a minimum of 12 months recent experience within a CAMHS setting. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivating, have the ability to case manage and will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to establish good working relationships essential to the success of the service.

A means of transport is essential and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team:-

• To take a leadership role in the delivery of high quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of children and young people, their families and carers
• Within a systemic and holistic framework undertake needs led, evidence based, highly skilled assessments and complete the appropriate paperwork
• To actively contribute to the management of duty work, triaging and hold an allocated amount of cases to support therapeutic interventions to children and young people, their families and carers, who present to the service, including as a result of deliberate self-harm or suicide
• As part of an integrated CAMHS service actively liaise and support robust partnership working arrangements between the CAMHS Team and community partners and other key stakeholders involved with the child across agencies in order that an integrated package of care is developed
• Provide a high level of generic skills and competencies and work towards development of areas of clinical expertise within the field of CAMHS, complimenting other members of the team
• To provide clinical leadership and supervision to a skill mixed team, and to facilitate a culture of learning and reflective practice
• To work in collaboration with the (service manager / team leader) to support the clinical governance / public health and NHS modernisation agenda

£7k Welcome Bonus:

The £7k Welcome Bonus package applies to this role.  The bonus is only available for people who are not currently employed (or who have not been employed in the last 12 months) by any NHS provider trust in the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in a like-for-like role; e.g. a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse at another Trust in the LSC ICS would not be eligible for the bonus if moving to a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse role at LSCFT. Bank only workers for Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust are eligible for the scheme if they have not held a substantive role in Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in the last 12 months (subject to all other terms and conditions being met). These incentives are subject to recovery clauses within the first 24 months of employment. This bonus is applicable to any successful candidate whose interview for this role is conducted prior to 30^th June 2024.

The £7k Welcome Bonus package is designed to attract and retain the very best staff in post. The amount a new starter would receive is shown in the Welcome Bonus Payment Schedule below:

• £3,000 after 2 months of employment (counted from start date with LSCFT)
• £2,000 after 12 months
• £2,000 after 24 months
