Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse

As a team we are working hard to ensure we put children, young people (CYP) and their families at the heart of everything we do.

The post holder will be an experienced Children’s nurse who has good knowledge and understanding of the management of childhood diabetes and shows commitment to working with and supporting children, young people and their families.  The applicant will ideally have a minimum of two years post qualification and community experience.  You will work within the well-established, innovative, multi-disciplinary team providing holistic care to all our clients.

The candidate will work cross-site within East Kent.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

To work within the Children’s Diabetes Team, providing expert nursing care, support and advice to children and young people following the diagnosis of diabetes.

To work under the direction of the specialist nurses, supporting a caseload of patients across East Kent.

To work in partnership with the children, young people and their families offering advice, emotional and practical support and liaising with other professionals.

To participate in the Out of Hours telephone on-call service for children, young people and their families ensuring they have access to specialist diabetes advice (pro-rata)
