Post Title – LAS in Infectious Diseases / General Medicine

Contract Length – Fixed Term for 5-8 months
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking infectious diseases and general medicine experience, and opportunities to gain generic skills and careers advice. The post would be suitable for someone seeking support to enable application to an infection or medical speciality. The post-holder will join the infectious diseases service at University Hospital Southampton, providing care for inpatients and outpatients with infection. The post-holder will also contribute an on call contribution for general medicine. The post-holder would join a dynamic and supportive infection department and would have opportunities for project/audit work in infection.
Please note that GMC registration (with a licence to practice) and Right to work in the UK are essential for this role. Successful applicants will already have GMC registration or will be able to demonstrate they are eligible. Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship should ensure they meet the Home Office application criteria prior to submitting an application.
Appointment will be made under Local Contractual Terms and Conditions of Service for Trust Appointed (Non-Training Fellow Doctors and Dentists) which will be published and available at time of offers.
Grades for Trust appointed (non-training) Fellows will be paid a basic salary at a Nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary detailed below plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay)
