Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Salary: £76,761 - £103,490 per annum

Applicants are invited to apply for the fixed-term post of Consultant in Emergency Medicine to be based at Broomfield Hospital. We aim to offer the opportunity of flexible working on a bespoke basis, to suit any successful applicants.

We are a high achieving, large acute Trust at the forefront of service redesign, committed to modernisation and delivering the NHS Plan. Over recent years the Trust has seen major developments on the Broomfield Hospital site including the integration of an internationally renowned Regional Centre for Plastic Surgery & Burns.

Broomfield Hospital is an acute site with an associated main Emergency Department (ED). The present department was opened in 2010 as part of the PFI. The new build accommodated the transfer of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT Surgery and Maxillo-Facial Surgery onto the Broomfield site.

The Emergency Department is part of the Medicine and Emergency Care Division and is a recognised centre to accept patients with major trauma. Our emphasis is on providing timely, appropriate and high quality care within the Emergency department and across the Trust as a whole. We have a clear commitment to work-life balance and are innovative in staff development and career progression.

You must have FCEM or equivalent. You must also hold a CCT and be on the GMC Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine, or within 6 months of achieving this.
