Specialty Doctor Diabetes & Endocrinology
We have an opportunity available within the department Diabetes and Endocrinology part of the Cardiovascular Medicine Clinical Unit based at Conquest Hospital.
The department of Diabetes and Endocrinology offers access to high quality training and exposure to a wide range of Specialist Services which the post holder will be encouraged to participate in and help develop further. For example, we contribute to the Regional Pituitary Service; hold regular Adrenal, Parathyroid, diabetes and thyroid multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance quality and safety. And also look after the inpatients under Endocrine team. There is a possibility of participating in General medical on rota ( 1 in 10 on call rota) with additional remuneration.
We have 2 Full time Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultants (Dr Dashora and Dr Sathis Kumar) supported by a middle grade Doctors. We have 1 WTE Endocrine Specialist Nurse, 6 WTE Diabetes Specialist Nurses, a diabetes dietician and a diabetes support worker.
