In 2020 the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated us as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being Caring and Effective. The Conquest Hospital in Hastings and our Community Services were rated ‘Outstanding’ and Eastbourne DGH was rated ‘Good’ Our two acute hospitals have Emergency Departments and provide 24 hour a day care, offering a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, outpatient and maternity services, supported by a full range of diagnostic and therapy services.

In the summer of 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ (BFF) programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to redevelop and expand our hospitals at Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come.

Our vision is to deliver high quality care and experience for our patients, communities and colleagues.

Our strategic objectives:

Quality: Delivering safe care; always improving outcomes and experience for patients.

Physiotherapy Technical Instructor - Band 4

Musculo-skeletal (MSK) Outpatient Physiotherapy

Cross -site (Newhaven/ Lewes/Uckfield )

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our established team of skilled Physiotherapy Technical Instructors. You will be working with our highly specialised teams of physiotherapists to deliver excellent rehabilitation care for our patient community, across our acute and community sites.

The Musculoskeletal MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy service works both with our partnership organisation (Sussex MSK Partnership), and other local providers, to assess and treat patients with a range of acute and chronic MSK conditions, including pre and post-operative rehabilitation.   The teams work very closely with our consultant body and advanced practitioners to ensure patients follow our pathways of care based on current research evidence and NICE guidelines.

You will be part of our busy MSK department, supporting our specialist physiotherapists to provide both clinical excellence and outstanding patient care, in line with the Trust values.

These roles are also integral to the overall department function, supporting patient rehabilitation, service audit and evaluation, upkeep of the gym and related equipment, as well as supporting students and the wider team.
