Job overview
The Digital Health Records Manager will support the Service Manager with the strategic and operational lead for the growth and development of the services in the department. The post holder will lead the management team to ensure that quality work streams in line with the digital strategy are delivered.
The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel, internally and externally from the Trust and develop effective working relationships with all for this interesting and diverse role.
The post holder must demonstrate previous management experience of a large team alongside change management.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for the provision of an efficient, effective, professional and well co-ordinated digital health records department capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and operational requirements.
The post holder will support the delivery of the new EPR with health records / documentation operational and governance advice and guidance; updating and monitoring policies/SOPs as required.
The post holder will support the Service Manager with the management of the Trust digital dictation system, e-correspondence systems team and associated governance and policy updates and adherence to SOPs.
The post holder will analyse and interpret complex data to ensure adherence to KPIs and compile and present required reports for formal meetings.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Evidence of continual professional development to masters level or equivalent knowledge to include operational management, project and budget management and knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
Desirable criteria
- Recognised Leadership and/or Management qualification or equivalent
- IHRIMS membership
- Project management skills/qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria
- A demonstrable capacity and capability for operational and /or clinical service leadership and management at middle level within the NHS or similarly complex organisation
- Demonstrable success in delivering service improvement and sustainable change with and through a team.
- Experience of working across service boundaries and maintaining credible relationships with colleagues
- Experience of programme/business planning and budget setting
Desirable criteria
- At least five years NHS experience
- Experience of managing patient experience at the front-line including complaints, risk assessments, investigations
