Job overview

To provide the Trust’s clinical staff with effective, efficient and
confidential administration and clerical services as part of the
secretarial team.

To contribute to the smooth running of the service
by the accurate inputting of data to the department’s client
information system, and prepare reports as required. To process
referrals efficiently according to standard administrative procedures
and to support and maintain communications and recording
procedures as required.

Main duties of the job

CWP Temporary Staffing Service is seeking to recruit staff to work in a variety of placements across the Trust, working in locations in East Cheshire, West Cheshire and Wirral.

We are looking for experienced  PAs, Medical and Team Secretaries, Typists, and audio typists who are able to be flexible on a temporary ‘as and when’ basis.

Our placements usually vary between 3 to 5 days per week and we offer weekly pay. 

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and administrative skills, who has a friendly telephone manner and can work flexibly as part of a team.

Experience of dealing with the public and NHS experience are preferable, but not essential.

The successful candidates should have a good level of general education to GCSE level grade C or equivalent and should have RSA II word processing qualification or equivalent ECDL and Microsoft Office skills.

In-house training will be provided on all trust systems and opportunities for further learning is available.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good general education to GCSE grade C or equivalent
  • Either RSAII or ECDL
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 Administration or Customer Care

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Excellent Word Processing Skills
  • Understanding of the workings of a database
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Access, Excel and Powerpoint. Networks, e-mail and internet

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience, as a member of a team, in a busy office environment
Desirable criteria
  • 3 years secretarial experience or 2 years NHS experience, preferably in a mental health setting
