An opportunity has arisen for a permanent experienced clinical secretary to support our highly progressive adult’s mental health team based at Upton Lea.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, and resourceful individual to join our team.
You should possess a commitment to team working and a desire to deliver excellent standards of work. As a team we are supportive, and competent. We want all staff members to develop their skills through training and development opportunities.
We aim to provide the highest standards in administrative support services to our colleagues across the west locality to maintain safety, health and, most importantly wellbeing of the people in our area.
The individual must also be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C’s in practice, these being Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.
We will ensure you have access to career development with regular supervision and appraisal.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a comprehensive administration support to the clinical staff and managers. To undertake audio typing using digital dictation system Winscribe for Consultant, Nurse review and Junior doctor’s clinics, manage calendars and arrange meetings, transcribing minutes as and when required.
The successful candidate will support with receiving, inputting, and maintaining information on relevant databases and software applications
Liaising with GPs, Social Workers and other agencies responding to queries appropriately ensuring confidentiality at all times. The successful candidate will answer the busy main phone line into the team, signposting calls appropriately, whilst demonstrating compassion and maintaining professional boundaries with callers
The successful candidate must be able to manage time effectively
The successful candidate will also be expected to be able to organise and prioritise their own workload on a daily basis to ensure that time deadlines are met, and that urgent work is accommodated.
This is a rewarding and varied role occasionally demanding yet a vital part of our clinical team. The candidate will also be expected to provide cross cover for colleagues as and when required.
