Job overview

This is an exciting  opportunity for an experienced senior administrator to join the Primary Care, Community & Therapies Clinical Group. The Group provides inpatient, outpatient, community therapies and nursing care. The role of the admin is to facilitate responsive care therefore the services require an effective, efficient and comprehensive administrative service in and out of hours.

You will be expected to assist in the management, development and the administration of electronic records including SystmOne for the clinical services provided through the Care Navigation Centre and administration hubs.  Management of electronic patient records to enable triaging, registration, appointments to support the wider teams. 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure that the Hub administrative processes supports and enables effective clinical triage, referral management, demand and capacity management, information reporting, sign posting and data collection. 

Liaison with the other senior administrators and leaders within the group to ensure cohesive collaborative working and be responsible for the implementation, training and supporting the roll out of new system updates and processes. 

The post holder will be expected to participate in the call handling function of the service as required and participate and work different shift patterns to cover the 7 day service provided by the function.

The post holder will be expected to assist in the development and implementation of SystmOne templates to meet the ever evolving needs of the clinical services, remote monitoring and the digital strategy within the group. 

There will also be an requirement to supervise and support the administrative team.

Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • A multifunctional Patient Administration System or major clinical IT system to support a range of operational/clinical processes in a large healthcare setting
  • Additional experience of supporting and administering a PAS or major clinical IT system, including its usage and configuration as related to users and system setup.
  • Proven experience of planning and undertaking testing of IT applications.
  • Evidence of working in a busy contact centre
  • Lead on training, development and new ways of working
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in the NHS.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Relevant degree or equivalent higher educational qualification and equivalent relevant experience
  • Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional.
