**Weekdays only** (no weekends, nights or bank holidays)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our chemotherapy outpatient service.

We are a small team of nurses providing Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) and supportive therapies for patients at all stages of their cancer journey in a day unit setting.

Career progression and further education is highly encouraged and many of our nurses have gone onto become Clinical Nurse Specialists, Research Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Ward Sisters.

The units are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse with an interest in Oncology to join our compassionate and highly knowledgeable team. Although previous experience is desired, it is not essential.

You will be qualified for a minimum of one year and ideally competent in cannulation and IV therapy, however, training would be provided.

Experience administering chemotherapy is an advantage but full training (including an accredited university module) will be given.

We would be more than happy for you to come and meet the team or spend some time shadowing us to get more of an idea of what we do.

Informal enquiries and visits are strongly encouraged - please contact Ward Sisters Katie Brown and Abby Freeman on 0118 322 7892 or [email protected] / [email protected].
