Protecting and improving the health of our local population is amongst the most important things
we do in Bracknell Forest. We see public health as a “whole Council” function and are proud of our growing reputation for innovation and delivery.
The system we work in is a complex one with important shared functions with other Berkshire councils sitting alongside the various health providers, CCG and STP – which is emerging into an Accountable Care System.
After four years of sharing a Director of Public Health with the other Berkshire councils we in Bracknell Forest are now looking to make the next step by appointing our own Director. You will be responsible for the full range of public health responsibilities and for leading us through the further transformation of our own public health activities so that health and well-being of our population is fully embedded in everything we do.
You will need to be a registered public health specialist with a track record in public health leadership and delivery.
You will also have significant skills in leading change, and in people management.
For an initial discussion, please contact Gill Vickers, Director, Adult Social Care, Health & Housing, at email@example.com or Timothy Wheadon, Chief Executive, Bracknell Forest Council at firstname.lastname@example.org
