East Metropolitan Health Service are seeking Service Registrars for 2024

You spoke and we listened – as a result, an exciting opportunity now exists to join the organisation that is transforming the Service Medical Registrar workforce. Based on your feedback and in a WA first, EMHS have abolished Leave Relief rotations for Registrars, and established an internal leave cover model which has significantly increased specialty and sub-specialty rotational allocations. We are now recruiting, and have terms available in the following specialities:

Acute Medical Unit                       Medical Oncology     

Cardiology                                    SAFE

Gastroenterology                          Respiratory

Haematology                                Psychiatry

Neurology and Stroke                   Healthcare in the Virtual Environment (HIVE)

Internal Medicine                          Community Healthcare in the Virtual Environment (Co-HIVE)

Palliative Care                               Medical Specialities admitting Registrar (MStAR)

Endocrinology                               Geriatrics

Nephrology

Position Profile: Provision of safe, high quality medical care, as a Registrar with East Metropolitan Health Service. Works under the supervision of the Consultant and within a multidisciplinary team.  

Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area. 

Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s, children’s and neonates’ services.

The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.
