Job overview
Do you have excellent administration and communication skills? Are you approachable and a team player? Do you have experience of Microsoft Office packages? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our administration team.
The post is advertised at 37.5 hours per week. The post holder will have a minimum of 1 year’s administration and clerical experience, excellent communication skills and experience of working with the public preferably in a health care or clerical setting. Qualifications should include Business Administration level 2 or equivalent in Word Processing, knowledge of Microsoft packages, good diary and time management skills along with organisational and prioritisation of workload.
This is a mobile position, covering the Central and West Locality, initially based at Minerva Health Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Deepdale, Preston, PR16SB. The post holder will be aligned to the Children’s Therapy Referral Management Team in Central and West Locality and will work across all three Children’s Therapy Teams. The role will involve undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support across the Children’s Therapy Service locations, coordinating their activities to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a good standard of education with qualifications in English, Math’s and Word Processing, excellent computer skills are required and previous administration experience is essential. The post holder may also provide reception and telephone service therefore experience of communicating and dealing with people is essential, as are excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. The post holder will be required to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to process and generate routine correspondence. They will be required to provide administrative support as directed by their administrative line manager, to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
