Dietitian

Dietitians provide practical information about nutrition. They promote wellbeing through their knowledge of the science of nutrition, helping to prevent food-related problems and treat disease.

Entry Requirements

In order to become state registered as a Dietitian you must first obtain either a BSc in dietetics or a postgraduate qualification, if your first degree is in a relevant subject. The degree normally takes four years and the postgraduate course takes two years.

For entry into the degree course, you will need 5 GCSEs, or the equivalent, including maths and English, and at least two A levels or equivalents, in appropriate subjects.

Applications should be made via UCAS .

Dietitians are State registered by the Health Professions Council (HPC)
